From the Dispensary

Formulas Bill prescribes,
sourced through Fullscript.

The house dispensary is an extension of the practice, not a shop. Access is reserved for active patients.

01 · The Dispensary

A prescriber's dispensary. Not a supplement shop.

Dr. Bastian curates a working catalogue of herbal formulas — Chinese classical, Western herbal, and targeted supplements — fulfilled through Fullscript, a professional practitioner dispensary. When a formula is indicated during a session, Bill prescribes it, and the patient fulfils through the house dispensary at professional pricing.

The catalogue is not public. Formulas are prescribed to specific patients for specific patterns — a Liver Qi stagnation pattern takes a different formula than a Spleen Qi deficiency, even when the surface complaint looks similar. The dispensary is organised around that distinction.

02 · The Model

Herbal medicine is prescription medicine.

A herbal formula is not a supplement. At the doses that do clinical work, most TCM formulas interact with medications, shift the direction of treatment, and require monitoring. Prescribing them outside a clinical relationship is not a gesture of openness; it is a liability for the patient.

The dispensary is structured so that:

  • A patient is seen, diagnosed, and prescribed.
  • The prescription is written with the patient's current medications, history, and TCM pattern on file.
  • The fulfilment happens through Fullscript — which means Bill has visibility on what was ordered and can follow up.
  • Adjustments are made at the next session, not guessed from a symptom checker.

This is also the reason the catalogue isn't browsable. "I want to buy some astragalus" is a different question than "I want to work with a formula that includes Huang Qi for my pattern". The dispensary exists to answer the second.

03 · Scope

Three categories of formulation.

Category I

Chinese herbal formulas

Classical and modern TCM formulas in granule, capsule, and tincture forms. Sourced from practitioner-grade suppliers.

Category II

Western herbal & adaptogens

Tinctures, extracts, and single-herb preparations. Ashwagandha, Reishi, Rhodiola, and others — prescribed where the pattern calls for them.

Category III

Targeted supplements

Professional-grade vitamin, mineral, and cofactor supplementation — when labs or presentation indicate it.

What the catalogue does not include

Generic wellness supplements, trend-driven protocols, multi-level-marketing products, or anything Bill has not personally vetted.

04 · Access

Reserved for active patients.

Active patient means you have been seen by Dr. Bastian in the last twelve months, or are enrolled in the 4 Pillar Program.

If you are:

  • An active patient: access through the private link on your patient portal, or request a refill at your next session.
  • A past patient (over twelve months): book a follow-up session to reopen access.
  • Not yet a patient: begin with a fifteen-minute discovery call or an initial session.
05 · The Partner

Why we use Fullscript.

Fullscript is a practitioner-only fulfilment platform. It exists because there is a meaningful difference between the quality and consistency of herbal products sold to practitioners and those sold on the open market. Patients of the practice receive the professional line at professional pricing — usually a meaningful discount on retail — and Bill retains visibility on what was prescribed, filled, and refilled.

Fullscript ships to patients directly. The dispensary is not a physical retail space at the clinic.
